The Secretariado Gitano Foundation wanted to vindicate the need to incorporate Gypsy history and culture into the compulsory Primary and Secondary Education curriculum.
We set out to turn the innocent question of a child into a matter of state. And in the end, we got it. Not only did we get the President of the Government, Mariano Rajoy, to echo our campaign on his social networks, but also the leaders of the opposition like Pedro Sánchez and Íñigo Errejón.
The Minister of Education, Culture and Sports, Íñigo Méndez de Vigo, received our protagonist (Samuel) in the Ministry and officially committed to incorporate history
and the gypsy culture in the educational curriculum.
